The road from Goat Island to Pakiri Beach is exceptionally scenic. The community of Omaha
can be seen in the distance, on the main beach on Omaha Bay - "Omaha" is a Maori word meaning “place of pleasure”.
The opposite side of the summit where this photo was shot is narrow, winding, steep gravel - there are signs saying that use by caravans is not recommended.
